Aonang Cliff Beach Resort is a stunning four star resort overlooking the iconic limestone cliffs in the Andaman Sea. My visit here was brief, but very enjoyable!
I was actually staying at hotel down the road from here and was pleasantly surprised when I found out they would be picking me up from my other hotel. I knew they offered an airport pick up but I didn’t expect a hotel pick up. I guess I was a lot closer to them being at the hotel around the corner!
There was a bit of confusion when I got there as I had no official booking to show, since I was there as a blogger not a guest, but this was quickly sorted and I was taken to the check in area in a doorless car. It was slightly strange but a little fun too!
I was grateful for the car once I realised the resort was sitting on a hill. When I got to the check in desk I was welcomed with a lovely refreshing drink which is always appreciated in hot countries. As my room wasn’t quite ready I decided to enjoy the bar by the pool. With a relaxing pool view and even a child’s play area in the back, this is a place for all the family to enjoy an evening.
After a relaxing drink by the pool it was time to head up to my room. Aonang Cliff Beach Resort have several rooms on offer. You can choose from Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Ocean View, Panorama Suite and Family Retreat Room.
I was lucky to be staying in one of the luxurious Panorama Suites. These 32 elevated rooms provide dramatic views of Aonang and the limestone cliffs. The rooms also include a luxurious king sized bed, a refreshing rain shower, a well stocked minibar, an expresso machine, safety deposit box and a flat LED TV.
My favourite though was the personal bathtub on the balcony. There’s no better way to relax in the evening than having a beer or glass of wine while enjoying the sunset from your own bathtub. It truly feels like paradise!
It’s also the little things they do that makes the stay here more comfortable. For me, a girl with thick hair, having a powerful hair dryer is a welcomed luxury. They also had most toiletries you could need, including shower caps, cotton buds and tooth brushes. Plus what I also thought was a nice touch was the fact that they had a beach towel and bag for you. Handy when staying in a beach town!
As well as a fantastic room, the resort has a lot to offer its guests. One of the perks of being in the Panorama Suite is being near the stunning infinity pool. The pool has incredible views and is the most amazing place to go for swim in Aonang.
As well as an amazing pool, the resort also has three restaurants each with their own unique cuisine. The Cliff Restaurant and Peak Restaurant offer incredible views but my favourite was the Aonang Buffet. This is an all you can eat buffet for 459 TBH which includes fresh sushi, fish cooked on a bbq, as well as western favourites and Thai cuisines. There was also fantastic entertainment that made it a truly enjoyable evening.
As well as good food, Aonang Cliff Beach Resort offers a spa, gymnasium and meeting room. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway or business trip.
The great thing about this hotel is they have a free shuttle service to Andamana Beach Club. This is a great place to go to avoid the tourists where you almost have your own personal beach. Plus the food here is really good! I highly recommend a visit if you’re staying at the hotel.
