The 20 Best Restaurants in Grenada

August 22, 2025 by Claire Filed Under: Food, Grenada, The Caribbean Leave a Comment

Looking for the best places to eat in Grenada? Let this guide help! The best restaurants in Grenada across the whole island

I’m lucky to have been sent to Grenada for work several times. Not only is the island beautiful and full of amazing things to do, but there are also some really great places to eat in Grenada.

While I’ve been in Grenada for work, I’ve spent my time in the Grand Anse Beach area which means I’ve had a lot of time to check out the restaurants on and around the beach. Not only that, after each work trip I’ve extended my stay for a holiday which has given me a chance to explore more of the island and find even more fantastic Grenadian restaurants.

Restaurants on Grand Anse Beach

There’s no better place to enjoy a meal than right on the beach. If you’re spending the day at Grand Anse Beach, any of these beachside restaurants are a convenient spot for lunch so you don’t have to be away from that crystal clear water for long.

Umbrella Beach Bar

Umbrella Bar is easily the most popular food spot on Grand Anse Beach and the best on beach restaurant to visit for dinner. With a wide selection of food available and a great cocktail list, it’s easy to see why Umbrella Bar is loved by locals and tourists. Make sure you come hungry because the portions are very generous!

61 West Restaurant & Beach Bar

This is probably my second favourite restaurant on Grand Anse Beach. They have a good selection of food, although they do have a habit of running out of fish! But the carbonara pasta dish is excellent and I love watching the sunset there while enjoying good food and good cocktails.

Coconut Bar

This was definitely my most visited bar in Grenada, especially on a Thursday evening. But not only is it a great evening spot, it’s a good place for lunch and even dinner. Located right on the beach it’s perfect for enjoying the views and I love how the outside tables are right on the sandy beach.

Beachside Bistrot Grenada

I don’t remember noticing this place the first trips so it’s either new, been recently done up or I just managed to completely miss it. Either way, I’m glad to have discovered it on the last visit! Located right on the beach, this restaurant is small in size but big in flavour. It quickly became a must visit restaurant on Grand Anse Beach.

Savvy Cabana

A lovely little lunch spot on the less touristy side of Grand Anse Beach, Savvy Cabana is a nice place for some good food along the beach. Come for the lunch menu but stay for the cocktails and sea views in a quiet area of the beach.

Restaurants Near Grand Anse Beach

Even though the beach offers some great places to eat in Grenada, if you take just a short walk away from the beach, there are even more great restaurants to choose from.

Antonio’s Restaurant & Pizzeria

Antonio’s is easily my favourite pizza restaurant in Grenada! A great little Italian restaurant tucked away just a short walk from the beach. If you’re craving pasta or pizza, this is where you want to head!

Chadon Beni Restaurant

If you’re looking to try some traditional roti, this is the best one I’ve found on the island. And I did try a few! Be warned though, seating is limited and it’s a very popular spot. But you can always get a roti to go and head back down to the beach.

East West Restaurant & Bar

East West is a great little Mediterranean restaurant not far from the beach that seems to be quite under the radar. They serve delicious food and generously sized portions so are definitely worth a visit.

Cilantro

A great little family owned Venezuelan / Mexican restaurant right off the beach that’s great for a sit down meal or takeaway. I love their make-your own style burritos, which are very generous in size!

Carib Sushi

If you’re looking to try some delicious and fresh fish, this is a great little sushi place that’s just a short walk from the beach. The fish is caught by the local fisherman and served up as either sushi or cooked fish.

Dexter’s Restaurant

A bit more of a walk from the beach but easily done, Dexter’s is well worth the visit! With an accomplished chef in the kitchen, Dexter’s is a great place for exceptional, local cuisines. Just make sure to book a reservation in advance so not to miss out.

Brisa Mar

If you’re looking to visit a different beach in Grenada, why not stop off at this amazing cliff side restaurant. Not only do they have great views from BBC beach but the food is excellent too. Why not grab a cocktail and watch the sunset in style?

Andy’s Soup House

A little further away from Grand Anse but only a 15 minute taxi ride away, Andy’s Soup House is worth the visit if you’re looking for some delicious and authentic local food. Don’t let the name fool you, they offer a variety of local dishes and not just soup!

Restaurants in St, George

While most people visiting Grenada will choose a hotel on or close to Grand Anse Beach, no visit to Grenada is complete without at least a day trip to the island’s capital, St George.

Sails Restaurant & Bar

A lovely little restaurant located directly on the harbour at St George. Sail’s is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean waters while you enjoy something to eat or just something to drink.

Patrick’s Homestyle Cooking

Located just on the outskirts of town, Patrick’s is a great option if you’re looking for a good Caribbean restaurant in St George. Oil down, the national dish of Grenada, is rated very highly here.

Restaurants in the South of Grenada

If you’ve decided to stay in a hotel that’s a little further south of the island or are just looking to travel away from the popular tourist spots, these restaurants in southern Granada are great options. All can easily be reached from Grand Anse Beach within a short taxi ride.

Dodgy Dock Restaurant

A popular food spot by locals, Dodgy Dock is a great place to visit. I highly recommend visiting on the popular Street Food Wednesdays. On these nights you buy tickets and then use them to purchase food from the street food vendors. Although queues for tickets can be long so it can be worth checking out the food, working out what you want and then getting that amount of tickets.

West Indies Beer Company

If you’re a fan of craft beers you’ll want to visit Grenada’s only craft beer brewery. While the food might just be a simple menu of beer foods like pizzas, burgers and wings, if you’re looking for some unique Caribbean beers, this is where you’ll want to head.

Spice Affair Restaurant

Spice Affair might be one of the best Indian restaurants in Granada! Serving up delicious and generous plates full of flavour, how could you not want to try an Indian while visiting ‘the spice island’. It’s also right around the corner from the Brewery so a perfect place to eat if you want to try the local beers but not eat at the Brewery.

Secret Harbour Restaurant

Tucked away in a marina down south, Secret Harbour is a beautiful spot for a relaxing meal away from the crowds. The food is delicious and I’m especially fond of their cocktails. It’s a wonderful place to sit back and watch the world go by.

Restaurants in the North of Grenada

While most tourists will choose to spend their time in Grenada in the south, usually near Grand Anse Beach, the north of the island is also worth a visit.

Armadillo Restaurant

If you’re staying in the north of Grenada, Armadillo restaurant is a must visit! Although it’s worth mentioning that you will need to book early! When you book you select what you want to eat. Then simply sit back and enjoy a freshly cooked, delicious meal.

There you have it, 20 incredible restaurants in Grenada to try during your next visit. Which ones have stood out as must visits?
