It’s that time of the month again where I share the beers I enjoyed over the previous month. If you read my October Roundup you’ll know I started the month of November in the United States.
I was in Las Vegas when the month started before heading off to New Jersey and then ending the trip in New York. After that I stayed at home in England enjoying some nice European beers from the comfort of my couch.

Total Beers
If you were worried about my beer drinking habits last month, you might be happier to see a smaller number this month. While I did continue to have many beers during my US trip thanks to flights, I did have a little break from beers once home. Yes, even beer loving me has breaks from beer every now and then.

The Countries
My November 2022 beers came from a total of 10 countries. It’s no surprise that the USA was top of the list seeing as I was there at the start of the month trying as many of the beers as I could before I left.
And as always England is near the top of the list. Once I was home I went back to my stash of beers which mostly includes local beers from my home country. What was a little of a surprise, was that I only had one Welsh beer in November. I guess I’ll have to make that up to the Welshie boyfriend in December!

The Breweries
My November 2022 beers came from a total of 61 breweries. Slightly lower than last month but I guess my total was smaller this month too.
Torch & Crown were top of the list and this was due to us enjoying their taproom one evening in New York and then taking several cans back to the hotel with us. And as I mentioned in last month’s roundup, Other Half would have been top of this list if their beers hadn’t been spread across the 2 months.

You can tell I visited less breweries at the end of the trip though. Las Vegas, New Jersey and New York were more about the taprooms which meant being able to try beers from multiple breweries.

My Favourite Beers
With the help of the flights I got to sample many great beers in November so I’m excited to show off my top beers. As always these are the beers that I rated between 4 and 5 on Untappd.
4.50 – Other Half Brewing Co – Deep Orbit Cygnus
Clearly the favourite of my November 2022 beers, this was a deliciously rich stout that had a nice chocolatey taste without being too sweet.
4.25 – Other Half Brewing Co – Double Dry Hopped All Citra Everything
If there’s one thing Other Half knows how to do really well, it’s a good DIPA! This well bodied beer is lovely and citrusy in flavour that might just be slightly too sweet.
4.25 – Other Half Brewing Co. – Mosaic Dream
The fact that Other Half beers are holding all three top spots is exactly why I was excited to visit their brewery on this trip! This IPA had delicious flavours of berries, citrus and tropical fruits that went down nicely.
4.00 – Amundsen Brewery – Donut Series – Dark Chocolate with Candied Pecan and Coffee Glaze
I love a good stout and this one was a well balanced pastry stout. A lovely thick and chocolate body with sweet caramel and nutty notes.
4.00 – Finback Brewery – Oscillation 029
A delicious DIPA with a good balance of sweetness and bitterness with hints of pineapple and citrus flavours.
4.00 – Hill Farmstead Brewery – Society & Solitude #4
While slightly too bitter, this DIPA was nice and hoppy with flavours of tropical fruits that did have some sweetness to it.
4.00 – Modist Brewing Co – Double Dreamyard
A lovely hazy IPA that’s made entirely from oats and wheats that’s smooth and easy to drink. Deliciously fruity in flavour with hints of mango and citrus.
4.00 – Prison City Pub & Brewery – Riot Down Undah
This NEIPA is made with hops from down under (Australia / New Zealand) and is full of fruity flavours.
4.00 – Revision Brewing Company – Vegas as Fuck
How could I possibly resist a beer with this name while in Vegas? This single hazy IPA has nodes of pineapple, melon and even cannabis. When in Vegas right?
4.00 – Torch & Crown Brewing Company – Heavy Crown
This smooth imperial stout has been brewed with coffee, cacao, vanilla and a touch of lactose. While it is boozy in taste it doesn’t quite taste like a 10%er making it delicious but dangerous.
4.00 – Torch & Crown Brewing Company – Super Nice
A pastry stout inspired by the popular maple pecan donut from their friends in NYC Super Nice Coffee and Bakery. This was a lovely thick stout that would have gone really well with that donut.
4.00 – Westbrook Brewing Co – Mexican Cake
An imperial stout made with cocoa, vanilla beans and cinnamon but also has a bit of spice to it with subtle flavours of habanero peppers to give it a Mexican cake feel.
Beers Worth Mentioning
Just because a beer didn’t make the top of the list doesn’t mean it’s not worth mentioning. These beers just missed out on the top spots but only just with respectable scores of 3.75.
- Banger Brewing – Morning Joe – Kolsch
- Cape May Brewing Co – Coastal Evacuation – IPA – Imperial / Double
- Grimm Artisanal Ales – Teddy Bear Picnic – IPA – Imperial / Ales

Where My November 2022 Beers Came From
This is the question I get asked all the time on Instagram so to make it easier to answer here are where my November 2022 beers came from. The breweries and taprooms I visited, the beer shops and the online deliveries.
Breweries
Other Half Brewing Co. (Brooklyn)
After visiting the NYC taproom at the start of this trip (last month) I was keen to visit the actual brewery taproom in Brooklyn. This was the only American brewery I was desperate to visit on this trip. I love exploring new ones too but this brewery had quickly become a favourite from my favourite beer shop so it was great to sit in and even get myself a t-shirt to remember the visit.
Torch & Crown Brewing Company (NYC)
Like any big city, New York City has many taprooms to enjoy but not many breweries. At least not in the city centre anyway which makes them awkward for tourists to visit easily. Luckily Torch & Crown have come along to save the day and have an amazing brewery with a taproom right in Manhattan.
Taprooms
Beerhaus (Las Vegas)
I quickly spotted this place along the Las Vegas Strip on my first visit to Vegas so I was excited to return and enjoy some more local beers. It’s a great place for not just beers from the US but worldwide. Plus with all the screens it’s a great place to enjoy some American sports.

Pub 365 (Las Vegas)
I only found out about this place thanks to Untappd. Not only do you rate beers but they show you nearby places. Pub 365 is slightly hidden off the Las Vegas Strip in one of the casinos. I’m glad the app told me it was there as they had a great selection of beers on tap.
BeerKat (London)
I didn’t plan to go drinking while in Ealing but then I accidentally found a cool looking taproom that was just screaming for me to come inside for a quick drink. They had a great selection on tap and a very impressive supply of takeaway beers.
There you have it, a round up of my November 2022 beers. Travelling around the United States gave me a great chance to sample some new breweries and taprooms. And soon I will be sharing some of the great Christmas beers I try so look out for that in my next round up!
